Cardinal Health, USAA and FICO Bring Home Top Honors in 2010
Dallas, TX (June 10, 2010) – T.E.N.-Tech Exec Networks, Inc. announced finalists and winners last evening for the ISE® Central Awards 2010. Awards were presented at a dinner gala held at the Westin Park Central Hotel in Dallas, Texas. The awards recognize both Information Security Executives and Projects for outstanding achievements in risk management, data asset protection, compliance, privacy and network security.
This year’s recipient of the Information Security Executive™ Award was Julie Talbot-Hubbard, Director of IT Risk and Security Management, Cardinal Health. Talbot-Hubbard was recognized for implementing a “security aware” culture across this $96 billion global health care products and services company. Leading her team through a major organizational change initiative, she was not only able to realign her organization by transforming roles, but ultimately re-energized her staff to create a high-performance culture.
Finalists for the Executive of the Year category were also recognized during the awards program for their achievements in the industry. They included Brenda Callaway, Executive Director, Health Care Service Corporation and Jack Key, VP, CISO and Chief Privacy Officer, USAA.
The Information Security Project of the Year Award was awarded to USAA for their Info Sec Authentication Program. Accepting on behalf of the project team was Jack Key, VP, CISO and Chief Privacy. The project implemented unique methods for strengthening authentication across many channels (.com, speech, member service representatives, and mobile). The project’s beneficiaries included the nearly 1.3 million USAA mobile members who received faster and more secure access to conduct their financial transactions.
Finalists for the Project of the Year category were also showcased during the awards program. They include: Northrop Grumman for their GRC – Governance, Risk and Compliance Project and TXU for their TXUE Roles Rebuild Project.
As part of the evening’s recognition, Vickie Miller, Director of Information Security, FICO, was announced as the ISE® Central People’s Choice Award Winner. The award represents the nominee who best exemplifies information security leadership as voted on by the registered attendees.
