Jairo Orea joined Kimberly-Clark in January 2017 as the Chief Information Security Officer. Jairo has global responsibilities for Cyber Security, Regulatory Compliance, Technology Management, Innovation and Business Continuity, which support the company’s household brands, including Huggies, Kleenex, Scott, Kotex, Cottonelle, Poise, Depend and more.
Prior to joining K-C, Jairo was the Vice President, Chief Technology Officer at Optum International, part of United Health Group. Jairo has played other significant roles in Cyber and Information Security in Fortune 10 companies including Chief Cyber Security Architect at United Health Group and Chief Information Security Officer at ING Insurance.
As Global CISO for ING Insurance, Jairo managed cyber security services that protected 200,000 endpoints and 50,000 servers across 110 countries. At United Health, Jairo developed a cloud cyber security framework that became a de facto standard across many industries. He also improved the cyber security posture at UnitedHealth Group while reducing total costs of ownership by 25 percent.
Jairo holds a Master’s degree in Telecommunications and Networks from ESNT-B (Telecom Bretagne), France. He holds an undergraduate degree in Robotics from Universidad del Valle de Atemajac, Mexico.
