Chuck Eigen has over 30 years of experience in business leadership, project management and consulting roles in enterprise technology implementations and supply chain management. Prior to coming to Higher Education, he has held management roles in Logistics, Book Publishing and Food & Beverage verticals.
At Columbia University, Chuck is responsible for program oversight of Security and Identity Access Management projects and initiatives. Reporting to the CISO, he interfaces with Directors in Network Security, Application Security, Cyber Security, IT Risk Management and Identity & Access Management.
Chuck joined Columbia in 2011 and has been responsible for implementing several University wide projects, ranging from Data Loss Prevention, Security Awareness Training, Multifactor Authentication and Enterprise Active Directory. He has forged and maintains trusted senior relationships across Campus Schools and Administrative departments.
He is responsible for monitoring and tracking the health and progress of projects, which includes budget, project resourcing and maintaining collaborative relationships with his infrastructure, networks and client services counterparts.
Chuck has led project teams that have been recognized by ISE North America in the academic and public sector receiving the North America Security Project of the Year twice, in 2015 for the creation of innovative IT Risk Management/Privacy frameworks and again in 2016 for their development and implementation of Perimeter Less Network Security.
Chuck is Project Management certified (PMP) and Information Technology Infrastructure Library certified (ITILv3.) He has a Business Administration & Management degree from Southwest Minnesota State University and has taken Graduate courses at Rutgers University.
