James Beeson serves as Cigna’s CISO and is a member of the Cigna Technology Services (CTS) senior leadership team. He leads the company’s global information protection and security program.

Prior to Cigna, James worked for GE Capital Americas where he held a variety of positions of increasing responsibility, including most recently as the CISO / Divestiture Security Leader, IT Global Security Officer, and vice president, Production Services Leader. He also worked for eight years at Trinity Industries in a number of different IT and technical roles.

James holds an MBA from Southern Methodist University and a BA from Amber University, both in Texas. He holds designations as a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and as Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC).

He is based in Bloomfield, Connecticut.
