James serves as a Vice President of IT and the Chief Information Security Officer and Data Protection Officer for International Market Centers (IMC). As the senior Information Security member, his role oversees all the programs and processes involved with Information Security, Information Privacy, and technology risk management across the company and he works diligently to ensure that sensitive information used for business is protected from accidental or intentional misuse.

Prior to his work with IMC, James held Information Security leadership roles in the fintech industry with Global Payments, Prommis Solutions, and TransCentra and in the nonprofit charity sector at the American Cancer Society where he led crucial security program transformation activities in support of corporate realignment and move to the cloud.

Throughout his career, James has focused his attention on maturing security and IT capabilities through the structured use of people, process, and technology. This approach has worked well in designing and implementing security programs using ISO 27001, the NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF), the NIST Supply Chain Management (ICT SCRM), the NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF), and the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL). He also has extensive experience managing security compliance programs for PCI-DSS, PA-DSS, HIPAA, GLBA, and Sarbanes-Oxley, and privacy compliance for HIPAA, CCPA, and the GDPR.

James holds a Master of Science degree in Information Assurance (MSIA) and maintains the CISSP, CISM, CIPM, and several other IT and Security-related certifications. He is also on the Board of Directors for the Georgia Radio Reading Service (GARRS) which is Georgia’s premier provider of audio-based information for individuals who are visually-impaired or otherwise print-impaired.
