Scott is the Executive Director, Compliance and Enterprise Risk for the Board of Regents, University System of Georgia.  In this position, Scott is responsible for the implementation of the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) program across the thirty one institutions of the University System including its 50,000 staff and over 330,000 students.  This risk includes financial, operational, and reputational as well as all security risk.

He also has responsibility for System’s Compliance program including managing the Ethics Hotline and leading civil and criminal investigations within the System.  

Scott previously founded and served as the Director of IT Audit within the same department.

Prior to joining the University System, Scott served as the Director of Security and the Enterprise Security Strategist for the CheckFree Corporation, Norcross, GA.  Scott had previously held senior management and technical positions in the consulting and security field with IBM, Hitachi, MCI and EDS.

He is a founding director of the Atlanta InfraGard chapter, sat on its Board of Directors for five years and also served as its membership chairman.   Scott is a graduate of the FBI Citizens Academy and is the recipient of three Exceptional Service Awards from the Director, Federal Bureau of Investigation for his work with cyber security, law enforcement and Homeland Defense.    

Scott holds aBachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and MBA in Tax from the University of Michigan as well as certification as a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) and Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC).
