Larry Wilson is the chief information security officer for the University of Massachusetts. In this role, he is responsible for designing and overseeing the University of Massachusetts Information Security Policy and Written Information Security Plan (WISP). His primary responsibilities include establishing, documenting, designing, implementing and maintaining the University’s Information Security Program. The program is based on ISO 27002 management and process controls and The CSIS Top 20 Critical Security Controls. The University Security Program is designed and implemented consistently across all five University campuses (Amherst, Boston, Dartmouth, Lowell, and Worcester) and the President’s Office. Prior to joining the University of Massachusetts, Wilson managed network security technologies and operations at State Street Bank, and worked for Deloitte, where he managed a SOX 404 IT audit program for MasterCard International.
