Tim Virtue is a transformational and strategic global security, risk management and compliance leader. Virtue currently serves as the CISO at Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA), a billion-dollar public energy and water utility serving more than a million people in the US State of Texas with 5,100 miles of the Texas electric grid. LCRA also supplies cost-effective electricity for Central Texas, manages water supplies and floods in the lower Colorado River basin, provides public parks, and supports community development in 58 Texas counties.
Virtue is an active member in various industry organizations. He is a recognized thought leader that has presented at several industry conferences and the author of several books and articles relating to technology, information security, compliance and risk management. Virtue holds an Executive Master of Science in Information Systems Management from The George Washington University School of Business and a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Northeastern University.
