Joseph Tso is the CISO of Scotiabank US that manages teams of Information Security advisors and serves on several regulatory and executive committees. Before his stardom as a CISO, Joseph was the cybersecurity program manager at TransRe where he built the cybersecurity foundation from the ground up, and enabled the company to be globally compliant with worldwide cybersecurity regulations. Prior to TransRe, he worked at a hedge fund company where he played a key role in managing IT infrastructure and security. He started his technical engineering career at several global companies that included aerospace and retail industries, where he implemented and deployed enterprise systems and applications.

Joseph earned a Master of Science degree from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Forensics. He holds many accomplished security certifications that includes CISSP, CISM, and CDPSE. He has also been recognized as one of the Top 100 CISOs by Menlo Security in 2022.
