Karthik Swarnam is Chief Information Security Officer for DIRECTV, now known as AT&T Entertainment and Internet Services. In this role, he is responsible for protecting the company’s information assets and securing DIRECTV’s network.

Karthik protects the business by providing leadership in information security management, technical architecture, and infrastructure solutions. He contributes to the company’s growth by providing strategic thinking and facilitating innovative solutions and product development. His extensive experience working with global organizations; include securing Mergers and Acquisitions, implementing technology, process and change-management initiatives required to realize improvements in security posture, regulatory compliance, cost, revenue, and quality objectives.

Prior to joining DIRECTV, Swarnam was instrumental in helping large enterprises establish security strategies and translate the strategies into solutions. He led TransUnion Corporation’s global information security efforts as the global chief information security officer. Before that, he led a security consulting practice at Accenture.
