Currently Director, Information & Data Management for BP’s Gulf Coast Restoration Organization, Russell is responsible for the information architecture, data management strategy & geographic information services supporting the organization. Prior, he was the Global Head, Information Architecture for BP, responsible for the organization’s information architecture and standards globally. He joined BP in 2007 as Global Director, Information & Records Management and heading up BP’s Data Privacy & Protection program.

He has helped organizations design and implement content and business process management solutions as CTO and industry consultant and has become a recognized subject matter expert for content management and SharePoint based business solutions. He was the president of TrueArc, an electronic records management market leader acquired by Documentum in 2002.

Russell joined forces with his mentor, the renowned leadership expert John C. Maxwell and is now a certified coach, speaker and trainer on Maxwell’s global team. He traveled with John to Guatemala to help deliver transformational leadership impacting that country. He is planning to go to Paraguay with John C. Maxwell in early 2016 to create the same impact.
