Dan Solero is an Assistant Vice President with AT&T’s Chief Security Office. He manages a global team of security engineers, architects, software engineers, and data analysts. His team is responsible for AT&T’s cloud security, security orchestration, security incident response automation platforms. Additionally, Dan has responsibility for managing the alignment of security priorities and objectives across all AT&T business units.
Over the course of his 20+ year career in cyber security, Dan has specialized in fostering a culture of innovative problem solving. His teams have received industry recognitions and awards for their pioneering work in software defined security. He holds multiple patents associated with his work in security virtualization, automation, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and quantum technologies.
Driven by his passion to share key learnings from the challenging projects that his team has tackled, Dan has been a guest lecturer, keynote speaker, facilitator, and panelist at Notre Dame University, Purdue University, Indiana University, Washington University, Northern Kentucky University, The AT&T Summit, The Executive Network, and the Cloud Security Alliance Forum at the RSA Convention.
He has served as a chairperson for the Indiana Governor’s Council on Cybersecurity for the Telecommunications Sector since 2017 and participates on multiple customer advisory councils in the security technology sector.
Dan holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major in Telecommunications and English from Indiana University and a Master of Science degree in Information and Communication Sciences from Ball State University.
