Richard Seiersen is security leader and technologist with over 15 years experience in network security; governance, risk and compliance; enterprise security integrations, business process automation and business intelligence. At Kaiser, he directs the organization’s enterprise systems assurance, GRC, security integrations and metrics initiatives. His current focus is delivering programs and solutions that scale resources andprioritize actionable security risks using business intelligence best practices. Prior to joining Kaiser Permanente, he held leadership roles in risk management and information security for Qualys, nCircle and Trinet.
Seiersen received a Master of Arts in Counseling from John F. Kennedy University and a Bachelors of Music in Classical Guitar Performance from the California State University Northridge. He has earned multiple industry certifications including Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and Sans Systems and Network Auditor (GSNA) .
Seiersen is highly visible in the information security community and is a popular speaker at industry conferences. He has presented at RSA on prioritizing actionable security risk and most recently returned to Metricon, an annual conference dedicated to security metrics, to present on security intelligence.
