As Global Lead for GT Security Markus Sanio is responsible managing the Engineering and Application support for IT Security Monitoring, IT Security Exposure Heat Mapping. Markus joined Group Audit of Deutsche Bank in 2000 as IT security expert conducting assessments in all information technology in Europe, stretching from Data Center security, Firewall & Online Banking Services and major service sourcing projects like IBMs data center service support. Accepting an opportunity to lead global IT security assessment teams in the US region Markus relocated from Germany to New York City in 2004, being a Senior Audit manager in 2005.

Moving towards the operational IT Risk and  Security area Markus Joined the CTO area in 2008. Since then he established efficient Control on-boarding and a Segregation Development system environment providing a secured method to remote connect external staff from offshore location. Markus’ focus area of innovation is IT Security Exposure Heat Mapping, providing a holistic status view by correlating available IT Asset and Security Control information.

Markus holds a Doctoral Degree in Physics from the University of Marburg in Germany and did several years research in Holographic Information Processing with biological data storage materials.
