Dr. David Robinson is Global Head Cyber Assessments and Remediation for JPMorgan Chase, responsible for enhancing the firm’s defense through tailored cyber training, education, assessment, and hygiene initiatives.
In David’s current role, his responsibilities includes training and educational development of cyber personnel, conduct of cyber exercises and drills, assessment of firmwide cyber systems, and the identification, management, and hygiene of cyber vulnerabilities.
David joined JPMorgan Chase in 2014 as Head of Cybersecurity Training, Education, Exercise, and Awareness. He came to the organization after 22 years in the United States Air Force where he worked in cyber security at the operational, tactical, strategic, and research and development levels. His final assignment in the Air Force was as the Chief of Interagency Aviation Information Assurance and Security where he was responsible for the identification of shortfalls and definition of strategy for the NextGen aviation cyber initiative.
David was the Deputy program manager and technical lead for Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency’s (DARPA) National Cyber Range, a Presidentially directed program to build the architecture and tools for a secure, self-contained testing capability to rapidly emulate large-scale complex networks. In addition, David has conducted cyber security focused research and development for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the Air Force Research Lab (AFRL), the Air Force Office of Scientific Research (AFOSR), and the National Security Agency (NSA).
David obtained his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Connecticut and a Master of Science in Computer Engineering from the Air Force Institute of Technology. He also received his doctoral degree in Computer Engineering from Dartmouth College.
He lives with his wife and two children in New Jersey.
