Ganesh Murugan is the Director of Cyber Strategy for MUFG Union Bank, N.A. He is responsible for developing and maintaining a holistic Cyber Security Strategy for the firm in partnership with all the functions across the EIS organization as well as to develop plans and roadmaps to execute against it to attain the desired levels of Cyber Security maturity for the firm.

His primary responsibilities also include creating senior leadership updates, mobilizing the firm’s efforts for high priority needs such as an unplanned regulatory exam, driving effective industry partnerships and ensuring that the Cyber Security strategy effectively supports overall technology and risk strategy. In this capacity, he partners closely with the Office of the CIOO and the Information Risk Management teams.

Ganesh has an extensive background with JPMorgan Chase & Co. (JPMC), where he held many leadership roles. Most recently, he led an internal consulting and advisory team supporting the Global CIO and Global Technology Operating Committee, providing CIO advisory, developing technology strategy and leading global transformation efforts. He also has many years of experience designing, developing and supporting applications.

Ganesh holds a Master of Business Administration (Strategy & Finance) from New York University Stern School of Business and a Bachelor of Technology degree from Anna University in India.
