Brian K. Metzner is a Senior Technology Manager of Systems and Data Security for Bank of America Global Information Security. In this role, Metzner leads adoption of identity & access management programs and drives transformative efforts to optimize the access management environment across the company. His team is responsible for company wide integration and adoption of identity & access management (IAM) controls, tools and processes.

His responsibilities also include execution of strategic plans to simplify and modernize identity and access management, implement controls and maintain effective governance of identity and access management across Global Technology and Operations. Metzner joined Bank of America in 2004 as a Senior Fraud Policy Strategist in the Consumer Risk Operations Group from Branch Banking & Trust (BB&T) where he was Strategies and Implementations Manager responsible for overseeing loss prevention systems, fraud controls and overdraft recovery processes and systems across consumer deposit technologies.

Prior to his role at BB&T, Metzner spent five years at First Union National Bank and held a variety of roles including Fraud Detection Technology Manager, Fraud Prevention Unit Manager and Risk Reduction Leader. Metzner has a Bachelor of Business Administration from Montreat College in Montreat, North Carolina and holds a Six Sigma Black belt certification.

He resides in Charlotte, North Carolina and is a member of the Information Systems Audit and Control Association, American Society for Quality and the United States Army Reserve.
