Chad Marson is a cyber security specialist with a passion for all things technology. He is currently the Director of Information Security at CIBC supporting the Capital Markets, International, Commercial Payments and Wealth Portfolios. In this role he is responsible for identifying and managing the information security risks in a diverse set of businesses. Chad has developed software as an application developer and participated in cybercrime investigations at the RCMP Integrated Technological Crime Unit. Chad was chair of the Canadian Financial Institutions – Critical Incident Response Team (CFI-CIRT) Professional Development Day that brings together industry leaders to present on current threats and risk mitigation strategies for the Canadian banking industry. Chad has led the security assessment of companies internationally including, Europe and Asia, as part of third party supplier assessments and M&A activity. Chad regularly speaks on topics of Information Security, Cyber Security Defence and Risk Management. Chad has a Joint Honours degree in Mathematics and Computer Science, a Master degree in Business Administration and holds several security industry certifications including CISSP,CRISC, CISA and is trained as a Certified Ethical Hacker.
