Julie Lucas is the VP, IT Security for the Huntington National Bank where she manages the Computer Forensics Investigations team. In this role, she works closely with the bank’s security investigators, Privacy officer, and legal teams to meet the banks eDiscovery, Identity Theft, and incident response needs. Prior to this role, she managed the information security operations team for 2 ½ years and chaired the IT Security Planning committee. The planning committee was responsible for establishing the future direction for the bank’s security infrastructure.
Julie has over 26 years of experience in information security, spanning multiple industries including government, consulting, financial, and insurance verticals. She served 12 years on active duty with the United States Navy, where she developed and led the Naval Computer Incident Response Team (NAVCIRT) for the Department of the Navy from 1996 through 2000. Julie has briefed multiple audiences on a variety of computer security-related topics over the years, including presentations at SANS and RSA conferences, ComNet, and the Business Week CIO Summit. She holds both the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and Information Systems Security Management Professional (ISSMP) certifications. She is the published author of The Effective Incident Response Team.
