Miron Livny, a professor of computer sciences with the University of Wisconsin–Madison, chief technology officer with the Morgridge Institute for Research and director of the Center for High Throughput Computing, is principal investigator for the Software Assurance Marketplace and will serve as its director and chief technology officer. He is responsible for setting the technical direction for the organization and ensuring the Software Assurance Marketplace meets the technical requirements established by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. Livny pioneered distributed, high throughput computing with the Condor project. He also serves as principal investigator for UW–Madison’s Build and Test Lab and as technical director for the Open Science Grid.
