Damian has served either as an Information Technology or Information Security professional for over 24 years. He has successfully created and led security operations, compliance, policy, audit, engineering, risk assessment and project teams. Damian has real world and relevant Information Security experience in both the Financial and Defense industries. Damian is currently the Senior Vice President, Chief Information Security Officer for Webster Bank, and owns the following core Information Security responsibilities: IT Governance, Vendor and Risk Management, Policy and Compliance, Security Operations, and Security Architecture. Previously, Damian held the position of Vice President, Network Security Operations at Umpqua Bank. In addition Damian served 20 years in the United States Army, and held numerous roles to include CISO and State Information Security Officer, Information Assurance Manager/Information Systems Security Manager, Telecommunications Manager, and Manager WAN/LAN Engineering.

Damian holds a MS in Information Security and Assurance. He is a Certified information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and maintains over 7 other professional certifications.
