Anne Kuhns is the retired Vice President of Information Security for The Walt Disney Company.  While with the Walt Disney Company her primary role was the oversight and management of the Information Security Program worldwide.  Anne’s responsibilities included establishing Information Security Policies and Standards, defining and developing the Information Security Strategy, leading initiatives for effective management of information security risks, coordinating communications with Business Segments to ensure consistent information protection practices are implemented throughout the Company and raising the profile of information security by engaging with key stakeholders including the IT organization, Legal, HR, Global Security and end users.

Anne is recognized in the industry for her diverse background, and collaborative and proactive leadership style.  She has led highly talented and productive teams, who have delivered a variety of information security infrastructure solutions.  These factors have been key contributors to her success and she has received many prestigious awards including Partners In Excellence award by Walt Disney World, ISE® Luminary Leadership Award Winner in 2012, ISE® North America People’s Choice Award Winner in 2009, ISE® North America Executive Award Finalist in 2009, ISE® North America Commercial Executive Award Finalist in 2007 and ISE® Southeast Executive Award Winner in 2007.

Anne is a CISSP and a member of the Computer Security Institute.  She served two terms as chairperson for the CSI Advisory Council, and she is a member of ISACA.  She is also an in-demand speaker at national conferences on information security related topics such as security awareness and garnering management support for security programs. Anne established and leads the Information Security Governance Committee and coordinates with internal enterprise risk management functions to obtain risk themes as input into the overall Information Security Strategy program.  She also manages critical company initiatives around information protection, and collaborates with Business Segments for Information Security strategy development and business alignment.

Anne is a graduate of the University of Florida where she received both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees.
