At AIG, Steve Kozman holds the position of Senior Vice President leading Strategy, Business Engagement and Operations within Identity Access Management and Security Services, and reports directly to the Chief Technology Officer based in New York City.
Kozman was instrumental in establishing AIG’s Global Identity & Access Management Program which bridged several businesses and functions in order to manage access requests to AIG systems and applications for over 50,000 workers (including employees, consultants, and vendors). These services enable the business by providing secure, cost-effective, and seamless access from any device at any time.
Kozman leads the global delivery and operations of Identity Access Management and Security Services across more than 80 countries and jurisdictions, driving risk reduction, measuring control performance, and ensuring regulatory alignment. Kozman has direct management of 60+ security professionals across five locations (primarily situated in the metro-NY area), and provides oversight to ~300 professionals and associated budget.
Kozman held several other positions within AIG including Chief Technology Risk Office and Chief Information Security Officer across AIG’s life insurance and retirement services business. He instituted creative solutions to build security capabilities “Cyber War Games” simulating a realistic Information Security breach and test incident response procedures. Kozman aligned fraud, security and insurance management into a single operation under his reign within the life and retirement business.
As the Global Security Officer for SunAmerica Financial Group, an AIG member organization, Kozman was instrumental in developing and evangelizing security within the insurance industry. During his tenure, he automated security processes and built early detection capabilities for threat actors and fraud.
