John is the head of Global Information Security and Risk (GCISO) for the Elsevier Corporation. Elsevier is a world-leading provider of information solutions that enhance the performance of science, health, and technology professionals, empowering them to make better decisions, deliver better care, and sometimes make groundbreaking discoveries that advance the boundaries of knowledge and human progress.

Prior to Elsevier, John served as the Vice President of National Security Operations at Comcast, where he had full responsibility for the strategic planning, development, and operations for the Security and Legal Demand Posture of the converged Comcast Video, Voice, and Data network of over 23 million subscribers.

John has shaped US cybersecurity and privacy through participation in the Communications Sector Coordinating Council and FCC CSRIC, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, and Communications ISAC.
