Doug Jacoby has over 23 years of experience in a variety of internal control and information security roles with several firms.  Following several years as an internal auditor in the insurance and oil and gas industries, Doug joined Deloitte and Touche in 1990 where he progressed from a staff consultant to manager of the Houston Computer Assurance Services practice.

For five years at Deloitte Doug provided security consulting services to a number of large oil and gas and energy companies in Texas and Florida.  Baker Hughes was one of those clients and after providing IT audit services for several years, Doug was hired by Baker to start up and operate the first IT audit function.

While with Baker Hughes, Doug led the IT audit function for three years before getting the call from Project Renaissance, Baker’s initiative to redesign many business processes and to establish a Shared Services organization.  While working at Project Renaissance, duties included developing a redesign of the IT function and leading the SAP Security Team.    Subsequently, Doug held management positions within Baker Hughes shared services organization and was the IT leader for the company’s Sarbanes Oxley compliance program.  In 2006, Doug’s role transitioned into the Corporate Security organization reporting to the Chief Security Officer where he worked on business risks from a holistic view.  In 2009 Doug was appointed CISO and began reporting to the Baker Hughes CIO and CSO.  During his time as CISO, Doug has created and deployed a new IT security strategy for Baker Hughes and established a dedicated IT Security team of seven.

Doug holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Computer Information Systems from Baylor University and is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
