Rick Hanson is responsible for defining the strategy and ensuring the success and impact of the Global Enterprise Security Products organization. He has been a leader in the Information Security industry for over 25 years.

Most recently Rick was at Symantec where he created and led Symantec’s Security Business Practice. Rick was also directly responsible for Symantec’s security portfolio in the Americas. He was instrumental in exceeding revenue expectations and setting a global security strategy. Rick was also a key executive on several acquisitions, including Verisign, Vontu and PGP.

Previously Rick spent over 14 years at RSA Security where he had several roles including Americas Sales Director and Vice President of Worldwide Sales Engineering. During his tenure at RSA Rick was also responsible for worldwide Sales Strategy and methodology for the global sales organization. Prior to RSA Rick spent several years as the Director of IT for the US Customs Service and time in the U.S Air Force. Rick is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and a speaker at several security events.

He is an experienced leader who joined HP to make a difference. His primary goal is to increase the credibility, confidence and trust that HP has with its customers and partners in the security space.
