Todd Gurela is the Chief Technology Officer for Cisco’s Industry Solutions Group.  He is responsible for engineering alignment cross-architecturally to enable customers globally as they accelerate their IoT and digitization journeys. Todd leads a team that has cross-industry, architectural responsibilities, and is the conduit for extended teams to present a unified Cisco thought leadership in industry.

Todd has 20+ years of global experience delivering technology solutions to Manufacturing, Industrial and Energy customers. He is an executive-level expert in Digital Transformation, the Internet of Things (IoT), and has significant industry background helping customers manage the evolution/convergence between IT and OT technologies across sectors.

Before joining Cisco, Todd was Vice President, Sales and Business Development at Siemens Energy. Earlier, he held roles of increasing responsibility at GE, including General Manager, Global T&D sales, GE Energy and Region General Manager, and GE Energy Services Canada. Prior to GE, Todd was Senior Project Manager with Schlumberger’s Measurement Division that provided automated electric, water, and gas metering solutions.

As a frequent industry speaker, Todd is a global thought leader on Industrial Digitization and how IoT is evolving across many vertical industries. He was a founding member of the board of directors for the Technology Association of Georgia Smart Grid Society, and an active member of IEEE.

Todd holds a Bachelor of Aerospace Engineering Degree from Carleton University, Ottawa, Ontario and currently lives in the greater Atlanta area.
