Eric Fisch is the Information Security Officer at Texas Capital Bank, a commercial bank based in Dallas, Texas. In this capacity, he is responsible for the continuous assessment, design, and execution of the Information Security, Information Privacy, and IT Risk programs. Fisch led the refresh of the Information Security program, aligning it with the business initiatives and the Bank’s long term strategy. His IT Risk program not only evaluates IT against key metrics and operational requirements, but assists business owners with the development of remediation plans and activities. His success with these programs led the Bank’s executive management team to recently appoint him as the leader of the Information Privacy department as well.
Prior to working for Texas Capital bank, Fisch was a Senior Manager in KPMG’s Information Risk Management group, assisting his clients with information security, IT audit, and risk identification and remediation. He concurrently led multiple teams in assessing and architecting the security programs for Fortune 100 companies in the retail, food and beverage, and oil and gas industries.
Fisch obtained his B.S. in computer science from the University of Texas at Austin and his Ph.D. in computer science from Texas A&M University. He has co-authored two books on information security and spoken at multiple information security conferences and events. Fisch currently holds his Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), and Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) certifications.
