Brian DiPietro is the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and Head of Enterprise Information Security (EIS) for MUFG Union Bank, and is also a Deputy Global CISO for MUFG. In his EIS role, he is responsible for establishing and maintaining the enterprise vision, strategy and program to ensure information assets and technologies are adequately protected. Brian is responsible for directing staff in identifying, developing, implementing, and maintaining processes across the Americas to reduce information and cybersecurity risks. He is also accountable for responding to incidents, establishing appropriate standards and controls, managing security technologies, and the establishment and implementation of policies and procedures.
As Deputy Global CISO, Brian is responsible for providing Technology, Operational and Cybersecurity expertise across the company globally. He helps provide oversight and leadership to the broader organization to further align cyber teams and enhance cyber capabilities.
Brian has an extensive background with JPMorgan Chase (JPMC), where he held numerous leadership roles including CISO and Technology Controls Officer, Commercial Bank; Chief Information Risk Officer and IT Controls Officer, Consumer and Community Bank; and Global Head of Identity and Access Management, Chief Information Security Officer.
In October 2017, Brian received the Information Security Executive of the Year Award (Northeast Region), which honors security leaders who demonstrate outstanding leadership, and exemplary achievements and excellence in the management of enterprise-wide internet and network security. The award, given annually by Tech Exec Networks (T.E.N., a national technology and security executive marketing and networking organization), identifies Brian as one of the top information security executives in the northeast region of the United States.
Brian received his advanced education at Saint Bonaventure University. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (Management) with a double minor in Computer Science and Management Information Systems. Brian is CISSP certified and is an inaugural board member of the Payment Card Industry Board of Advisors.
