Jennifer accepted a role with ServiceMaster in 2012 to lead the formation and maturation of the Security, Compliance and Risk office as a Senior Director. She quickly advanced to the role of Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer, as her scope expanded in 2014 to include Governance, Identity & Access Management. Since joining ServiceMaster, Jennifer has become an integral part of the organization leadership team, enabling the protection and security of ServiceMaster customers and corporate information assets. Her responsibilities include ensuring the company remains compliant with information security, industry, financial and legal requirements. She also performs the annual IT Risk Assessment, outlines actionable mitigation plans and ensures remediation occurs.
Jennifer is a strategic thinker, intelligent risk taker and consistent in driving ServiceMaster to not only understanding but truly implementing defense in depth. She has been instrumental in driving the understanding of Information Security for ServiceMaster, which is evident by the increased maturity level achieved by ServiceMaster. She worked with multiple internal teams to create an effective Security Awareness program and regularly speaks at associate events teaching personal security tactics which leads to corporate security.
Previously as a Technical Principal with FedEx and Vice President with First Tennessee Bank, Jennifer built a strong foundation of Business and IT strategy, effective technology integration and broad spectrum of compliance/information security experience. Jennifer’s leadership and experience, combined with a corporate and strategic approach to the business resulted in delivering key projects and cross-functional teams to support a unified global IT strategic approach, security transformation and effective next generation marketing strategy. Jennifer was instrumental in leading the SOX and PCI compliance efforts for both FedEx and First Tennessee, assuring annual compliance. At each of these organizations, she managed large scale projects designed to simplify back end systems from multiple business units, resulting in more consistent processes, procedures, risk reduction and significantly improved security.
Jennifer is on the DeNeuville Learning Center Board of Directors and is actively involved in the educational and personal growth of women in the Memphis area. She also volunteers for Junior Achievement, Hope House, LeBonheur, St. Jude and Habitat for Humanity. She is an active member of her local church and regularly volunteers with area community events. Jennifer is frequently called upon to speak as an Information Security leader and Subject Matter Expert for organizations such as Evanta CIO/CISO meetings, local graduate programs including University of Memphis, ISSCA, and multiple high school programs. Jennifer’s leadership style is both results oriented but focused on leading with a Servants Heart. She is a graduate of the Chicago Booth CISO Institute and holds a BBA in Accounting from University of Memphis. Jennifer is one year into the MBA program at Christian Brothers University but recently decided to seek her MBA degree Cybersecurity through SANS as it is more relevant to the industry she is passionate to lead. Jennifer is also a mentor to many associates within her company. She also holds the title of ISE® Southeast Executive Award Finalist 2016.
