Chris has an extensive corporate information security background. He has held executive information security positions in financial companies that processed over a trillion financial transactions. He managed the logical and physical security for top banking institutions. Chris has directed many corporate forensic operations involving malware reverse engineering. Chris is a seasoned penetration tester and web application security specialist. He managed a team of specialized security engineers, penetration and exploits analysts at one of the largest retailers in the world and has worked with many other companies as a security consultant on penetration testing, PCI, SOX and HIPAA compliance. Chris has created information security programs at many major companies, some rank as fortune 100 companies. Chris developed complete, rapid deployment information security programs for small and mid-sized businesses. Chris created and managed the information security program for the Georgia Lottery Corporation. Chris was voted 85th Top Ranking CISO in US for 2012.
Chris' career history is diverse. He is a Certified Police Officer and Field Training Officer and has over twenty-three years of decorated law enforcement experience in South-Fulton County and West-Georgia. During his law enforcement career Chris lead a Criminal Investigation Division (“CID’) as a Detective Sergeant and was the lead investigator in many major computer crime, homicide and fraud cases. Chris served as a S.W.A.T team leader and electronic surveillance specialist. Chris also served as a departmental firearms instructor and a member of the Georgia Association of Law Enforcement Firearms Instructors. Chris currently volunteers as a reserve Detective leading a Cyber Crime Unit in the state of Georgia and currently serves as an affiliate member of the state, Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (“ICAC”) headed by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.
