Tom is currently in the role of Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) for San Francisco International Airport (SFO). His 35+ year cybersecurity background includes Aviation,. retail, domestic/international insurance and the United States Military, (U.S. Coast Guard). He received his MBA from Dominican University of California and holds the following professional certifications: CRISC (Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control), CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor), CISM (Certified Information Security Manager), and CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional).

Tom has taught as an adjunct professor for the University of California, Irvine, delivering Department of Defense-mandated, information security courses for working professionals at a major defense contractor in San Jose, CA. He has successfully deployed a mature PCI Level 1 Merchant program and is currently managing the implementation at SFO of an ISO2000 IT Service Management program and will soon begin the implementation of ISO27001/2 Information Security Management System (ISMS).
