Curley Henry is the Executive Director of Cybersecurity Strategy & Architecture for Southern Company, responsible for setting the company’s strategic information direction, roadmap and cybersecurity initiatives. He has a broad background in information security and IT, including nearly 20 years of experience guiding strategic engagement, process improvement and managing globally diverse operations teams.

Before joining Southern Company, Mr. Henry served as a Director of Cyber Threat Management at E* Trade Financial, responsible for providing strategic direction and leadership in areas related to cyber threat defense. Prior to his role at E* Trade, he was an Associate Director at Hewlett-Packard, where he led a consulting practice comprised of senior cybersecurity personnel specialized in providing security intelligence solutions for large enterprises and organizations.

Mr. Henry also served as a Global Delivery Leader in ISS/IBM’s Managed Security Service business unit. In that role, he provided solution design and delivery execution and led teams in Poland, Brazil, Belgium, Brisbane and the United States. Earlier in his career, Mr. Henry was a defense consultant for Ciber, where he led a team to design, build and manage the first 24x7 SOC for the U.S. Army Reserve. He began his IT career in the military as a member of the U.S. Army Reserve, responsible for network and server management and information assurance and protection.

Mr. Henry studied at Georgia Tech before joining the armed forces, and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems from Saint Leo University. He also holds several security and technical certifications.
